Visiting the Chapel
During the next six months the convent and chapel will be undergoing major works designed to improve car parking, access to the building and accessible facilities for our visitors. During this time, there will be special arrangements to ensure everyone’s safety. You will made aware of these with your booking.
Ymweld â’r Capel
Yn ystod y chwe mis nesaf bydd gwaith mawr yn cael ei gyflawni ar y lleiandy a’r capel gyda’r bwriad o wella’r parcio, y mynediad i’r adeilad a’r cyfleusterau hygyrch i’n hymwelwyr. Yn ystod y cyfnod hwn, bydd trefniadau arbennig ar waith er mwyn sicrhau diogelwch pawb. Fe gewch eich hysbysu am y rhain gyda’ch archeb.
Visiting the Old Print House
This single-storey house is off the main drive and has parking nearby. There is a narrow tarmac path from the driveway, which has a gradient of around 1:6, so care must be taken. Once inside, the building is level and has an accessible toilet.
Ymweld â’r Hen Dŷ Argraffu
Mae’r tŷ unllawr hwn oddi ar y brif dramwyfa ac mae lle parcio ar gael gerllaw. Mae llwybr tarmac cul yn mynd o’r dramwyfa, sydd â disgyniad o tua 1:6, felly rhaid bod yn ofalus. Wedi cyrraedd y tu mewn, mae’r adeilad yn wastad ac mae tŷ bach hygyrch ar gael.
Visiting the Convent
The convent is an old building with many different floor levels and stairs. Access into the convent is, at present, via two sets of steps. If you are planning to stay in the convent there are 6 guest rooms on the first floor accessible by the front stair case and by a lift at the rear of the house on the ground floor. The floor levels of the guest wing vary and include several steps. Shower facilities and toilets are shared by all guests. This accommodation is not suitable for those living with mobility or sight impairment.

Mae’r lleiandy yn adeilad hynafol gyda nifer o wahanol loriau a grisiau. Ar hyn o bryd, ceir mynediad i’r lleiandy trwy ddwy set o risiau. Os ydych yn bwriadu aros yn y lleiandy mae 6 ystafell ar gyfer gwesteion ar y llawr cyntaf a gellir eu cyrraedd trwy’r grisiau blaen a thrwy lifft yng nghefn y tŷ ar y llawr gwaelod. Mae lefelau llawr yr asgell i’r gwesteion yn amrywio ac yn cynnwys sawl gris. Mae cyfleusterau cawod a thoiledau yn cael eu rhannu gan bob gwestai. Nid yw’r llety hwn yn addas i’r rhai sydd ag anableddau symudedd neu weledol.
Visiting Michaelgarth (Self-catering)
Michaelgarth is a lovely ‘late Arts and Crafts’ house set in its own garden, which is a field away from the convent and chapel. Access into the house from the car parking area has no steps and the surface is not uniformly smooth. The ground floor has a single bedroom, a shared shower room and toilet. There are five bedrooms on the first floor, two of which are twin rooms. Access to the first floor is by the staircase. The house is not suitable for wheelchair users. Whilst the garden surrounding the house has no hard paths, there are beautiful views from the verandah at the rear of the house. The terrace can be accessed by two small steps from the French doors. The large terrace is not fenced so care should be taken when moving around on the garden side above a sunken garden. The house is not recommended for those living with sight or mobility impairments, unless they are accompanied.

Mae Michaelgarth yn dŷ hyfryd ‘Celf a Chrefft diweddar’ wedi’i leoli yn ei ardd ei hun, led cae o’r lleiandy a’r capel. Nid oes grisiau i fynd i mewn i’r tŷ o’r maes parcio ac nid yw’r arwyneb yn llyfn. Mae’r llawr gwaelod yn cynnwys un ystafell wely, ystafell gawod a thŷ bach i’w rannu. Mae pum ystafell wely ar y llawr cyntaf, dwy ohonynt yn ystafelloedd dwbl gyda gwelyau sengl. Ceir mynediad i’r llawr cyntaf trwy ddringo grisiau. Nid yw’r tŷ yn addas ar gyfer y sawl sy’n defnyddio cadair olwyn. Er nad oes llwybrau caled o amgylch y tŷ, mae golygfeydd godidog o’r feranda yng nghefn y tŷ. Mae modd cyrraedd y teras trwy ddringo dau ris bach o’r drysau Ffrengig. Nid yw’r teras mawr wedi’i amgáu â ffens, felly rhaid bod yn ofalus wrth symud o gwmpas uwchben yr ardd isel. Ni argymhellir y tŷ ar gyfer y sawl sy’n byw gydag anableddau gweledol neu symudedd, oni bai eu bod yng nghwmni rhywun.
Grounds
The Society of The Sacred Cross is set in 60 acres of beautiful parkland, meadows and orchards. Whilst there is limited access on hard surfaces in the meadows and woods, you can wander through the grounds or simply rest your heart and body in the silence and beauty each season brings.
