Day Retreats – Encilion Dydd

Retreat Days

We invite individuals or parish and other groups to use our facilities for a day retreat or meeting. Individuals and groups of up to 10 people can use the Old Print House, which is a self-contained, single-storey building situated near the main Convent with parking close by. It has a comfortable meeting room, kitchenette and accessible toilet. Tea and coffee is provided. You are welcome to join the Community for the daily monastic Offices and Eucharist. The suggested donation is £15 per person per day (to a maximum £60 for a group). To make an enquiry to book the Old Print House, please complete the Enquiry form for Day Visits.

Larger day groups are welcome to come to Michaelgarth, which is set in its own grounds, a 5-minute walk from the main Convent. The ‘Arts and Crafts’ style house has a large meeting room, sitting room, dining room and kitchen. Tea and coffee is provided. A small separate Chapel is available for private prayer and there is ample parking near the house. You are welcome to join the Community for the monastic Offices and daily Eucharist. The suggested donation is £20 per person per day, to a maximum £160 for a group. To make an enquiry to book Michaelgarth, please complete this form (click to expand).

Quiet Days

Tymawr offers a programme of Quiet Days during the year. Each Quiet Day begins at 10.00 with coffee (Terce at 9.30 is optional), followed by a talk by the speaker for the day and time for prayer and silence before the midday Eucharist. After a ‘bring your own’ lunch, the speaker will lead the afternoon session, which ends with Vespers at 16.30. Enquiries to attend a Quiet Day: email .
