The summer months have come and gone quickly at Tymawr – perhaps too quickly, as the Autumn colours already seem to be arriving in the trees. Mother Katharine’s August newsletter can be found at the bottom of the page; it includes details of our Autumn Quiet Days.

In June Sr. Joanna Ruth made her Solemn Profession, and we welcomed Megan as a Novice Sister of our Society. We have also enjoyed the company of four women who have come Alongside during this time. other highlights have included welcoming a new Associate and a new Oblate. More of the joys of the summer in M. Katharine’s newsletter!
Since the newsletter was written we have also hosted the Congrès Interconfessionnel et International des Religieux (C.I.I.R), an international gathering of Religious from Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Lutheran and Anglican traditions. It was a joy to welcome our sisters and brothers from across Europe and to share fellowship with them. The conference rotates between the different traditions, so the next hosts will be the Grandchamp community in Switzerland, an Ecumenical/Lutheran community. More on this adventure in our Advent newsletter!

The theme for this year’s conference was ‘What can Creation teach us about our Religious Life?’. A representative of each tradition gave a paper, followed by an opportunity to meet in small groups to share and reflect on our experiences. The Anglican paper this year was given by Sr. Joanna Ruth and can be found below.
As the Summer closes, we continue to pray for peace in Gaza and across the Middle East, and in Ukraine; for places around the world suffering from famine and natural disaster; for your prayer requests; and for God’s love to be known in the world. So until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
